NUR 203 - Nursing Through The Lifespan III6 Hrs. Prerequisite: Two-Year Track: BIO 201 , BIO 202 , BIO 220 , NUR 102 , NUR 103 , NUR 104 , NUR 105 , NUR 106 , MTH 100 or higher, ENG 101 , SPH 106 or higher, PSY 200 , and PSY 210 . Mobility Track: MTH 100 or higher, BIO 201 , BIO 202 , BIO 220 , ENG 101 , NUR 200 (if applicable), SPH 106 or higher, PSY 200 , and PSY 210 . Corequisite: NUR 204 . This course builds upon previous instruction and provides additional opportunities to develop competencies necessary to meet the needs of individuals throughout the lifespan in a safe, legal, and ethical manner using the nursing process. Students manage and provide collaborative care to clients who are experiencing selected alterations in cardiovascular, respiratory, and neurological systems in a variety of settings. Additional instruction is provided to care for selected mental health disorders, selected emergencies, multiple organ dysfunction syndrome and related disorders. Teaching/learning concepts, advanced dosage calculations, nutrition, pharmacology, communication, cultural, and community concepts are integrated.
