This program provides instruction in the skills and technical knowledge needed to meet the entry level requirements of employment in the automotive field. Students develop an understanding of logical, step-by-step, diagnostic procedures, and repair according to manufacturers’ recommendations. The automotive shop offers hands-on experience in disassembling,inspecting, adjusting, and testing various types of engines. Students also learn about advanced technology found in emission controls, sensing devices, electronic fuel injection, and computer-controlled timing. Automotive Mechanics Pathway
