CIS 191 - Intro to Computer Science3 Hrs. Prerequisite: MTH 100 or equivalent math placement score, RDG 085 or equivalent placement score. This course introduces fundamental concepts, including an algorithmic approach to problem-solving via the design and implementation of programs in selected language such as Pascal, C, Ada, Visual Basic, or other appropriate languages. Structured programming techniques involving input/output, conditional statements, loops, files, arrays, and structures, and simple data structures are introduced. Upon completion, the student should be able to demonstrate knowledge of the subject through the completion of programming assignments and testing.
