ELT 217 - Transformers

Prerequisite: ELT 117
This course is designed to train the student in the theory of operation, various connections, troubleshooting, and repair of single phase, as well as, three phase transformers. KVA load calculations and applications will also be covered in the class. Upon completion, the student should be able to perform calculations relating to transformers, make proper Delta and WYE connections, and understand the basis=c polarity and voltage test for each application.
