This course is an immersion into computer usage in health care with emphasis on data security, data analytics, and integrity in health information systems. Emphasis is placed on concepts of computer technology related to health care and the tools and techniques for collecting. storing, retrieving, and transmission of health care data. Upon completion, students should be able to demonstrate knowledge and competence in the use of various health information specific software applications as well as demonstrate specific computer skills in these areas.
