MLT 111 - Urinalysis and Body Fluid

Prerequisite: Admission to the program.
This course focuses on the theory and techniques in the examination of urine. The student is introduced to the physical and chemical properties, as well as microscopic examination of sediment and the identification of cells and crystals. Upon completion, students should be able to perform basic urinalysis and correlate laboratory results to renal disorders and other disease states.
