ELT 194 - Practicum/Intern/CO-OP 3 Hours
Prerequisite: Complete at least fifteen (15) hours in electrical classes. This course provides practical experience in the electrical craft. Work is done as an electrician’s helper or at a higher working level on advanced special projects or advanced research/study in a directed area of the field. Emphasis is placed on gaining hands-on experience with tools of the trade as well as a better understanding of NEC directives while studying in the classroom one hour per week. Upon completion, the student should possess a higher state of proficiency in the basic skills and a better knowledge of testing for the Electrical Journeyman’s Block Test.
