A person in information processing obtains data from letters, books, surveys, reports, periodicals, and the Internet producing meaningful information into a desktop publishing document, word processing document, or report. The main tools are a computer, computer application software, a printer, and knowledge of integrating different software application programs. With training and experience in this area, the student may become a supervisor, office manager, or a CEO.

Associate in Applied Science - Office Administration
Prerequisite coursework if required by placement testing
Area I - Written Composition: 3 Hours
Area II - Humanities and Fine Arts: 6 Hours
Note:
*Choose from art, music, theatre, foreign language, humanities, literature, philosophy, or religion.
Area III - Natural Science or Mathematics: 9 Hours
Area IV - History, Social, and Behavioral Sciences: 4 Hours
Note:
*Choose from anthropology, economics, geography, history, political science, psychology, or sociology.
Area V - Technical Concentration and Electives: 36 Hours
Students must complete all courses below plus one concentration.
